Marking Period 2
In this marking period Tyler, Trevor, Noah, Garret, Don, and I finally finished shooting our short film about a high schooler played by Tyler and his introduction to a drug as well as his decline into addiction to it due to other high schoolers and dealers played by Trevor and I.
We ran into a variety of problems when shooting this film like cameras being stolen resulting in lost footage, the amount of time it was taking us to film compared to how much shorter we wanted the process to be, as well as issues with audio and typical problems students find themselves facing when filming.
We are now onto editing it and in my opinion that's the more entertaining and satisfactory part of making a film due to the aspect of putting the pieces to the puzzle together in different ways and playing with color correction, as well as after effects when making the visuals distorted and warped for one of our scenes in the film.
As for my solo work I've been writing a script for a short film split into parts that I want to create called INDIGOS following a group of troubled teens with hidden powers that hail from spiritual consciousness and Amethyst crystals, abilities such as third eyes, manipulating energy and elements, and astral projection. I'm not planning to make this a superhero or a vigilante type film, if anything it's more of a coming of age story with comedic elements. Now mostly due to the fact that even though in the script I've written some impractical events or ideas, I might make it more practical when it comes to effects and editing but I've been researching on how to make what I've thought up possible through After Effects, I just need to get more skilled at it.
I've also been working starting to produce music and make beats on my personal time as a hobby, below are a couple of beats that I've made.
